#Asexual visibility day full#
International Asexuality Day celebrates the full asexual spectrum: asexual, greysexual, demisexual, and all other ace identities, and it’s designed to promote the work of ace advocates, especially in non-anglophone and/or non-Western countries, though everyone is welcome to take part! Pan people’s sexuality can often be erased when they are assumed to be either gay or straight, or when their pan identity isn’t taken seriously, so it’s essential to make sure that we uplift the voices of pan people. Lesbian Visibility Week is supported by the Diversity Umbrella Foundation. May 24 marks Pansexual Visibility Day a day for our community to uplift, elevate and celebrate those who identify as pansexual. In a society obsessed with sex, asexual people face a lot of isolation. Building on this, we want to create a week that recognises, celebrates and importantly supports lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer women across the UK and beyond to be their true selves at work, at home and socially. It’s Asexual Visibility Day A day sorely needed as even in 2021, the asexual people identity still lacks representation in the media, and those identifying with the label are often faced with confusion and ignorance when they come out.

We’re excited to announce International Asexuality Day (IAD), a coordinated worldwide campaign for ace advocacy, celebration, education and solidarity, which will take place annually on April 6th. There has been a Lesbian Visibility Day since 2008. IAD is a coordinated worldwide campaign promoting the ace umbrella, including demisexual, grey-asexual and other ace identities.
